Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell anything, and you can leave any time. Here is the honest long version.

Who we are

BYE BYE MAXWELL, c/o SONDER Film Music, Weihergasse 11, 3005 Bern, Switzerland — hello@byebyemaxwell.com. This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.

Hosting

This site is served by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like every web server, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (IP address, browser type, requested pages) in server logs to deliver the site securely. We don’t combine this data with anything else.

Cosmic Club (newsletter)

If you sign up, we store your email address and send you a confirmation email first (double opt-in) — nothing happens without your click. Emails are sent via Mailjet (Sinch Mailjet SAS, EU). We use your address only to send you Cosmic Club transmissions. Every email contains a way to unsubscribe, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list.

Contact form

Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to us via formsubmit.co, a US-based relay service; your name, email address and message are processed there for delivery. If you prefer, email us directly at hello@byebyemaxwell.com.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit and how fast the site loads. It sets no cookies, uses no fingerprinting, and never follows you to other sites. There is nothing to consent to and nothing to switch off, which is why this site has no cookie banner.

We do not use Google Analytics, and we do not embed a third-party Instagram feed. Both were removed on 1 August 2026.

Local storage

The site stores a few flags in your browser’s local storage — whether you’ve unlocked the Cosmic Club, your member number, your best score in the butterfly game, and the name you last used on the leaderboard. These stay on your device. Only the leaderboard name and score are sent to us, and only when you press the button to submit them.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw consent — just email hello@byebyemaxwell.com.
